DOT/PUC

At Just Say No! Medical Screening, we conduct Department of Transportation (DOT) and California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) programs that meet all requirements for compliance. There are a lot of DOT and PUC regulations related to drug and alcohol testing, but we do everything we can to make the process as simple as possible for you.

To start, a representative from your company is required to attend a DOT/PUC training meeting to be conducted by one of our clinic administrators, unless your company has recently had training from another facility. This training covers the DOT/PUC regulations, recognition of substance abuse in the workplace, and how to handle instances of substance abuse.

Under DOT/PUC regulations, each employee is required to pass a drug screen before they can drive for your company. Once they pass the initial screening, they will be added to the random pull consortium that we manage in our facility.

We also conduct DOT/PUC drug and alcohol testing for random, post accident, reasonable suspicion, follow-up, and return-to-duty occurrences as applicable.
